How fun it is to jump in the vines and leaves in a jungle. It’s an experience that only the jungle animals can have. What happens if they end up tangled in those vines? Who will save them? Or do they have the natural instincts to escape from these scenarios. These thoughts inspired me to create an animal rescue activity.
Materials needed
- Mini Jungle animals
- Green pipe cleaners
- Green Streamers
- Plastic leaf garland
To start off twist the pipe cleaner around the mini jungle animals. Cut the green streamers in various lengths and twist or crumble them. Then fill the tub ( I used Ikea Flisat table bin) with cut streamers and leaf garland. Add the wrapped animals to the bin.
Kids were so thrilled to see the tangled animals. R run to the rescue and unwrapped most of them. I had to save the tiger for M snd she tried her best to unwind the pipe cleaner. A great fine motor practice.
For extra fun you can hide the animals in the leaves and play peekaboo. M had lot of giggles playing this game. R was more into taking the animals for a ride in his paw patrol vehicles😊
