M is not much into arts or crafts. However she loves just simple crayons and paper. But I want to expose her to more mediums of art. So a taste safe paint and using cut apples this simple activity was born

For the taste safe paint I used yogurt and food coloring. Just mix them together and you have a thick easy prep and ‘ok-to-mouth’ paint. To easily grasp the apples I cut slits on the top of apple cut in halves. Oh gracious it was a life saver for my neat freak girl.

She liked the invitation to play but didn’t hang around more. So I caught her attention by drawing a tree trunk and prompted her to make apple prints on top.

Once R got back from school he was super excited and jumped into making prints on every spaces left on the paper. so it was worth the try!
